Morning
In the morning, at 08:00, board the Iceberg Expedition Catamaran from the ship's terminal in Puerto Chacabuco with destination to San Rafael Lagoon.

During the tour
You will be able to observe marvelous surroundings that are the mountains, waterfalls, and the impenetrable forests of the Patagonia.

We approach the Lagoon
Arrival to the entrance of the Lagoon, San Rafael National Park, passing through Punta Elefantes and San Rafael Inlet.

San Rafael Lagoon
Enter around 2:00 pm. Once we are in the Lagoon, passengers can board zodiac boats which will bring them closer to the San Rafael Glacier. Enjoy a whisky or pisco beverage served with the ice from the glacier. Return to Puerto Chacabuco at approximately 9:00 pm.

Very early, at 08:05 am, passengers will form part of the unforgettable journey aboard the Iceberg Expedition Catamaran, which will travel among islands, through Patagonian channels and fjords, offering the visitor unforgettable images of the landscape, until we arrive at the marvelous San Rafael Lagoon. Here you can appreciate the grandeur of the thousand-year old ice formation known as the San Rafael Glacier. Throughout the expedition you will be able to see the mountains that make up part of the chain that runs south of the Moraleda Channel.

These mountains reach elevations of 1,200 to 1,800 m (3,936 to 5,904 ft) and display glaciers perpendicular to the coastlines as well as countless waterfalls that originate from within the dense Patagonian forests. In the area known as Punta Elefantes and the San Rafael Inlet, right before entering the Lagoon, there is a large quantity of birds, numerous reefs, and icebergs that drift slowly from the Tempano River, the Lagoon's outlet. The San Rafael Inlet is the way to access the San Rafael Lagoon National Park, Global Biosphere Reserve whose surface area measures 1,742,000 hectares (4,180,800 acres).

At approximately 2:00 pm, we will enter the San Rafael Lagoon. Besides the glacier, the main attraction of this area is the combination of tranquil waters interrupted by the constant roar of chunks of ice loosening and breaking off the surrounding ancient icebergs. The lagoon has a surface area of approximately 170 sq.km (106 sq. mi). On board zodiac boats, passengers can find themselves face to face with the San Rafael Glacier and the icebergs that drift around it. At the end of the zodiac boat excursion enjoy a whisky or pisco drink served with the ancient ice chunks. We will begin our return to Puerto Chacabuco and arrive around 9:00 pm.

On board the Iceberg Expedition Catamaran you will tour the unparallel attractions in the Aysén region, where you can enjoy your marvelous surroundings sitting comfortably inside or from the deck, if you seek to be more one with nature. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be written, specifying the cause and assuming responsibility of the corresponding penalty. Once the reservation has been confirmed by Gotolatin, the following charges will apply for cancellations made by the passenger, according to the program departure date:

• Between 45 and 30 working days before the beginning of the program
  40% of total program value per passenger
• Between 30 and 15 working days before the beginning of the program
  60% of total program value per passenger
• Between 10 and 0 working days before the beginning of the program
  No refund.
• There are no refunds for portions of the Program not used, hotel accommodations, etc.
• We recommend considering Travel Insurance for any reason.
