Stunning due to its extraordinary landscape of trees, mountains and snowy volcanoes, its wealth of wildlife is also incredibly rich, amounting to more than one hundred species of birds and 30 species of mammals. Together with the marvelous natural beauty of the Osorno volcano, the Todos Los Santos lake, the Petrohué waterfalls, the Negro river and the Tronador volcano amongst many others, this park is not to be missed.

The Lakes region, 82 km to the north east of Puerto Montt. Puerto Varas is 18 km to the south-east. Location
How to get there
Santiago-Pto. Montt: by air or by public or private land transport. Pto. Montt-Pto. Varas: via Ruta 5 Sur.  Santiago-Osorno: by air, or by public or private land transport. Osorno-Pto. Varas: by public or private land transport on the Ruta 5 Sur. Pto. Varas-Ensenada: public or private land transport by Ruta Internacional 225.  Osorno-Ensenada: by the road which goes to Pto. Octay, but passing the turning for the city. 105 km is surfaced, until the Río Blanco sector. Ensenada to Petrohué (Lago Todos los Santos) 16 km. See Transport

Climate
The climate is defined as humid temperate, with an average annual rainfall of 2.500 mm in Ensenada. This increases to 4.000 mm in Casapangue, close to the Vicente Pérez Rosales border pass. The average annual temperature is 11.1°C, with an average in January of 16°C and in June of 6.5°C. In the highest parts of the park, most of the rainfall falls as snow.
