Surrounded by volcanoes and the lovely backdrop of Puyehue National
Park, Antillanca was founded in the year 1951 when Carlos Buschmann,
representative of the Club Andino Osorno, installed the first shelter
for skiers in the area, baptizing it with the name Antillanca, meaning
"jewel of the sun" in the Mapuche language. Adequately equipped with an optimal hotel infrastructure, little
by little, this ski center has been earning a name for itself among
national ski complexes. Antillanca boasts excellent snow conditions for all types of skiers
and snowboarders. Other notable characteristics are the off-piste
slopes and cornices, most appreciated by snowboarders. The center is equipped with four drag lifts and one chair lift.

One
of the characteristics of Antillanca is that the slopes pass through
native forests. Beginning with the grade of difficulty, there are
13 slopes in Antillanca which are divided into four grades. Green
for beginners (20%), blue for intermediates
(30%), red for advanced (30%) and
black for experts (20%).
Blue Runs: El Puma, El Peuco, La Loma, El Traro, El Zorro, El Chaucao and Camino Nevado.
Red Runs: El Coipo and El Pudú.
Black Runs: El Lobo and El Araucano.
Besides these runs, at Antillanca there are Free Skiing or Backcountry areas, marked with yellow, and a Nordic Skiing circuit in the lower part of the center.
For snowboarders, the center boasts excellent cornices and hills
for off-piste practice. The more notable slopes are Hayque and Mirador.
For a more extreme ride, try Casablanca and La Taza. The center has 5 lifts: 4 drag lifts and one double chair:
