Liquiñe Hot Springs can be found in the small town of Liquiñe
in the foothills of the Andes in the Tenth Region of the Lakes.
Liquiñe was founded in the river valley that holds the same
name, near the Pellaifa, Calafquén and Neltume lakes. It
is located 34 miles (55 km.) from the touristy town of Lican Ray
and 45 miles (72 km.) southeast of the city of Panguipulli.
Their extremely hot, hyperthermic waters flow at temperatures close
to 176°F (80°C). The water must be cooled inside the pool
so that they are more tolerable and pleasant, however, they still
remain quite hot. They are oligometallic, silicated, calcified,
and lithinated (lithium), containing iron, potassium, sodium, silicon
and sulfur, among other minerals. They help relieve cardiovascular
disorders, rheumatic illnesses, skin conditions, bronchial diseases
and gynecological problems. They also help regulate gastrointestinal
functions.
Although they are beneficial in the cases mentioned above, the
waters of Liquiñe are not recommended for those who have
collagen illnesses, coronary problems, psoriasic arthritis, serious
cardiac insufficiencies, embolisms and women who are pregnant.
Visitors can submerge themselves in a bathtub filled with hot,
calming thermal water, or if you prefer, bathe in one of our natural
springs surrounded by pure nature while breathing in fresh air.
Besides just taking a bath, Liquiñe offers steam baths that
cleanse and revitalize and mud baths that purify the skin and relax
your joints and muscles.
Liquiñe and its surroundings offer the ideal environment
for participating in activities such as sport fishing, horseback
riding, taking photos, hiking or just admiring the flora, fauna,
and the surreal landscape that surrounds this thermal area.
If you have time and your own vehicle, you can combine your stay
in the hot springs with a visit to Lican Ray or Coñaripe
to enjoy the beaches or participate in an excursion to one of the
lovely lakes nearby.
