The charming town of San Pedro de Atacama, located at 2450mts at the North edge of the great Salar de Atacama (greatest of the country), is perhaps one of the places of Chile that more attractive has in the same place.
The town is in one of the so many oasis that had their origin due to rains from the "Bolivian winter" in the driest desert of the world, the Atacama desert. For that reason it is more incredible to find in the middle of this place really exuberant vegetation formed by Chañares, Carob trees (Algarrobos) and Peppers.
